I can remember this time last year, quite well actually.
There was Kapcon, and the free concerts in the Botanical Gardens, and lovely summer weather, and playing frisbee in the park. It was also about the time that I was thinking that that John fellow was rather lovely and wishing that he'd notice me.
I also met Morgue right about now, and read his rant on the problems involved in trying to maintain plausible deniability about whether you liked someone or not. It took me a while to follow his advice, but it all worked out rather well in the end.
Thanks Morgue.

You are welcome! It is a pleasure to know you :-)
I was thinking about that night yesterday, at the Ukelele gig (saw you from afar there, too).
I never did tell my supermarket story. Can't even remember what it was.
It was also about the time that I was thinking that that John fellow was rather lovely and wishing that he'd notice me.
And we were watching and wondering whether we would have to kick John to get him to do something. A number of times on the car ride back from some ultimate event we discussed whether anything would happen, and how long it would take to happen. We were all pretty much betting on you to make the first move.
Then when it happened we didn't find out for two weeks. We even managed to talk the other guy we knew liked you into talking to John about it...just in case that was what was holding him back. A little bit late though. But it didn't stop John from acting all innocent, and not saying a word through-out the entire speech. Some people are evil. :D
Now you've got me curious.
Who was the other guy?

Didn't see you there, sorry, but then there were lots and Lots and LOTS of people. John is showing hidden depths of subterfuge and corruption. He diddled the A-grade schedule so that his team would have a bye on just the evening he wanted to take them out to the ukelele thing.
Well, I just figured: We've got to have a bye some time, so it may as well be on a night when there is something interesting at the gardens :-)
But who was the other guy?
If you're going to ask personal questions in public, you oughtn't to be surprised if you don't get answered. ;-)
