I just published a game!

(And I'm telling everyone.  :-) Apologies to the people who've seen this in multiple places.)

The Bell is a science fiction suspense live roleplaying game inspired by The Fountain (Darren Aronofsky), Five-Twelfths of Heaven (Melissa Scott), Vacuum Flowers (Michael Swanwick) and the works of Cordwainer Smith. The Bell is intended to be an emotionally intense game that pushes moral dilemmas. It draws on a trope of science fiction which treats space travel as a spiritual journey. It doesn't make assertions about any particular religion, but it does examine metaphysical themes and ethical issues.

Melissa Scott! Michael Swanwick! Cordwainer Smith! LARP or no LARP, IT MUST BE MINE.

Guess I better check out this Darren Aronofsky bloke as well.

Stephanie -

It's Joseph here. I have just got back from all day in Auckland, and for some reason, I kept thinking "I must go round and see Steph", only you weren't there. Idon't go up to Auckland much, and you haven't been there for ages, yet here I was, thinking this. I'm going to put it down to my thinning hair, and strong UV rays going straight to my head.

Just a bit of randomness for your day...

Congrats on you and Catherine putting out these LARPs, too. If I could get my grubby little hands on them, I'm sure they'd be very imaginative, thoughtful and fun to play in equal measure

Hi Joe,

Gosh, it's been a while - I'm living in Wellington right now.

What's your email address and I'll send you a download link.

My website, joeys1.orconhosting.net.nz, contains my email address, and something else which I think you'd enjoy. You write LARPs, I do this...

Many thanks.

or joeys1@orcon.net.nz, if that's easier.

It really is a small world.
I followed a link about occult history in Havelock North, NZ. With a few twists and turns this is where the path eventually led.

Hi Steph.

Hi John,

It's been a long long time since we've talked - as in, I'm totally a parent now! How are Cherry and Alex?
