The title says it all really: this has the excerpts and extracts of my, and other people's, lives. Occasionally I inflict poetry on people.

Why didn't you like them?
Oh, I thought they were great, just that it was a fairly impressive emotional rolleercoaster you had to go on to get to the ending. (The person I was watching it with said he'd wished he'd had the foresight to record my reactions.) I'm finding that Moffat's writing style has me more engaged than Russell T Davies', who seemed to be going through a continuing cycle of "Now, how can I be even more angsty this episode?" and kept scaling up, until eventually I ended up feeling quite detached. Moffat kept things at a very personal level, even while the Fate of the Universe (TM) was at stake. (In my opinion, etc.)
Also, in hindsight, I have an awareness of how very tightly written the whole series was - things that I'd thought were filler episodes or fanboyism or maybe a bit careless were actually very obviously part of the build up to the finale.
I agree. I didn't really expect Dr Who to get better but it certainly has.
Oh, and I'm enjoying Karen Gillan very much.
