There is a cat in my house who is trying to convince me that he's moved in and it would be great if we could hang out together.

His name is Thurber, he (or she) is black and white and missing an eye, and is showing no inclination to go home. Strangely, he's even more needy and attention-junky than Macca, which I surely never thought I'd see. We rang his family but have only gotten the answering machine so far.

I suspect that the fact that you only get an answering machine indicates how often the putative owners might be home.

Hence, your visitor...

Thurber gone home yet?

My flatmate took Thurber back to where he'd first seen him, which turned out not to be his house, but at least the residents were willing to distract the cat long enough for HouseMonkey to leg it out of there. The plot thickened a little in the evening when we got a call from England where his family is staying, who gave us a number to call if he comes back. I think he's being fed by a neighbour and is getting lonely.

Update much?

(Like [!] I should talk, of course.)
